Alix, duchess of Burgundy, [sends] greetings to the provost of Dijon and the provost of Talant. We have ordered you and commanded that you not permit the abbot of Saint-Seine to be held responsible for the debts of his men while he will be prepared to discipline his men to satisfy their creditors according to their abilities. Enacted in this 1219th year of grace, in the month of August.

Alaydis, ducissa Burgundie, maiori et preposito Dyvionensi et preposito de Talant salutem. Mandavimus vobis et precipimus quatinus abbatem Sancti Sequani non permittatis vadiari pro debitis hominum suorum, dum paratus erit, homines suos justiciare ad hoc quod creditoribus suis satisfaciant secundum facultates suas. Actum est hoc anno gratie M° CC° X°'IX°, mense augusto.
