PublicTranslated letter:
I, Aleide, by the grace of God countess of Holland, greetings in Christ to all who will see the present page. Let it be known to all that for the remedy of my soul and of my husband, count Theoderic of pious memory, I conferred on the church of St. Mary of the Island at Heimond, where we had previously conferred a minor tithe, three iugera, measured according to the greater staff by which fields are computed, with the ancient ridge contiguous to them, to be possessed freely and perpetually by that church.
That this donation remain firm and untroubled, I strengthened it with the impression of my seal and protected it with the subscribed witnesses, namely lord Arnold abbot of Berne, prior Theoderic, lord Arnold of Heusden, lord John Persin and Arnold Spiker his brother, and Alard Corper.
Original letter:
Ego Aleydis, Dei gratia comitissa Hollandie, universis presentem paginam inspecturis salutem in Christo.
