Translated letter:

Chirograph, divided by letters of the alphabet, in which it is noted – in the year 1170 from the incarnation of the Lord – that Guillelma viscountess of Nîmes and viscount B. Ato VI, her son, gave a cliff situated at Ugenas, to Ponsia Andrea and Bernard her son, to receive according to the usual conditions.  “Witnesses of this are:  Bernard Magister, Bertrand Guirald, with four others.  Peter the Small, commanded by both sides, wrote it.”

Chirographum, per litteras alphabeti divisum, quo notum fit, -- anno ab incarnatione Domini M.C.LXX. -- Guillelmam Nemausensem vicecomitissam et vicecomitem B. Atonem VI, ejus filium unam costam, sitam apud Ugenas, Ponciae Andreuae et Bernardo ejus filio ad acaptum, solitis conditionibus, donasse. – “Hujus rei sunt testes:  Bernardus Magister, Bertrandus Guiraldus, cum quatuor aliis.  Petrus Petiti scripsit, mandatus ex utraque parte.”
