Translated letter:

Chirograph, divided by letters of the alphabet in the side margin, in which it is stated -- in the year 1171 from the incarnation of the Lord – that Guillelma, viscountess of Nîmes and viscount Bernard [Ato VI], her son, gave to be taken what is called the Bare Cliff, to Peter of Coirano, Peter Pelic, Andrew and William Radic, and all the others in the town of Radic, who wished to take part in said taking, and their successors, to receive according to the usual conditions.  “Witnesses of this are:  William of Liverias, Bremond of Albasio, and six others.  Peter the Small, commanded by both sides, wrote it.”

Chirographum, per litteras alphabeti in margine laterali divisum, quo constat, -- anno ab incarnatione Domini M.C.LXXI, -- Guillelmam Nemausensem vicecomitissam et vicecomitem Bernardum [Atonem VI], ejus filium, illud pati, quod vocatur Costa pelada, Petro de Coirano, Petro Pelic, Andreae, et Guillelmo Radic, omnibusque aliis villae de Radico qui partem in dicto pati habere voluerint, eorumque successoribus, ad acaptum, solitis conditionibus, donasse.  – “Hujus rei sunt testes:  Guillelmus de Liverias, Bremundus de Albasio, et sex alii.  Petrus Petiti scripsit, mandatus ex utraque parte.”

Historical context:

This is the record of a charter in which the viscountess and her son gave a piece of land to various men in the town of Radic.
