A letter of donation

Translated letter:

In the name of the holy and individual Trinity.  I Robert, count of Flanders, to all the children of holy church.  I make known to all future generations, that I with my wife, Clementia, and my son, Baldwin, gave new land that until now was swamp, that lies between the Watten church and Bourbourg, with all tithes that pertain to that land, and all tithes that will issue from the land if any from that swamp until now, to the church of St. Mary of Bourbourg, for the use of the nuns serving God there, and I confirmed it by the impression of my seal, lest any enemy of holy church should dare in the future to boldly breach such a gift, or diminish or violate it.  This was done at Bruges, in the 1110th year of the Lord, in the ides of July, under the witness of lord Bertulf, priest of Bruges, and canons of Bruges, Helye, deacon, Hamerad, Gummar, Radulf, Gocelon, chaplains of the count; Bernard; Oger; Reiner; Ledbert of Bourbourg; Lambert Napin; Reingot of Molembeke, Walter, castellan of Courtray; Adam of Formasella; Riquard of Woldina; Fromold of Wingni; Radulf of Clochera; Amalric, stableman; Hugo, chamberlain; Bernold of Bourbourg, and Simon, son of Malgeri of Lon; Lambert of Drincham; Dodo and Baldwin of Gravelines.

Historical context:

The count and countess and their son Baldwin give newly reclaimed lands, dried marshes between Watten and Bourbourg, to the abbey of Bourbourg, with the relevant tithes.
