We Elizabeth by the grace of god senior queen of Hungary, duchess of Macsó and Bosnia, indicate, commending to the memory of all to whom it reaches by the content of the presents, that we conferred again the town called Kalaman-Chehy which we decided before should be conferred on and possessed by master James son of Panyit [of the Hahót kin] from the fullness of our grace, and left it to him to be possessed with full right, as he held and possessed it before, and by the authority of the presents we alogether break and revoke as invalid the letters which we had granted to the settlers of the town of Chehy. Dated at Buda, on the day after New Year’s, in the 1281st year of the lord.

Nos E(lisabeth) dei gracia maior regina Hungarie, ducissa de Machow et de Bozna, memorie commendantes significamus universis, quibus expedit, presencium per tenorem, quod nos villam Kalaman-Chehy vocatam, quam antea magistro Jacobo filio Ponyth contuleramus, eidem de plenitudine gracie nostre iterato duximus conferendam, et possidendam reliquimus eidem pleno iure, sicut antea tenuit et possedit, et auctoritate presencium literas quas hospitibus de villa Chehy concessimus, cassamus penitus et in irritum revocamus. Datum Bude, in crastino Strennarum, anno domini Mo CCo octuagesimo primo.
Historical context:
The queen restores land she had previously given to James and later confiscated. We learn from another letter, 26236.html (CDCr 6.627-28) that she had acted on the basis of false reports about him.
