Translated letter:

We E[lizabeth] by the grace of God queen of Hungary to all the faithful of Christ who will contemplate the present writing, eternal greetings/salvation in the lord.  Since the unrolling/turning of years and times is frequent, therefore prudent reason finds that what affairs might destroy, the inscription of letters should preserve as witness.  Therefore we wish to bring to the notice of all present and future by the content of these, that when the loyalties and merits of the services of count/ispán Cosmas, son of Cosmas of Zsámbok were considered, Stephen, illustrious king of Hungary of happy memory our dearest father-in-law, and lady queen Elizabethe our beloved mother-in-law conferred on him a certain reginal land called Granna beside the Hernád river to be possessed in perpetuity, and finally that count Cosmas gave praiseworthy services to lord Ladislaus illustrious king of Hungary our consort and to us at a tender age in various military operations, submitting himself to the various chances of fortune.  We do not wish to pass over with a deaf ear his loyalties and services so obviously shown, as we ought to measure the merits of individuals from the duty of our office, in consequence we left, allowed, gave, donated, conferred and handed over that land Granna with all its uses and appurtenances, namely the arable land called Granna with the Hernád river, meadow, brushwood, woods, and all other circumstances pertinent to it to said count Cosmas and his heirs and successors of those heirs, to be possessed peacefully and irrevocably and according to [what] he had, held, and possessed  by grant of said lord king Stephen and his lady queen consort, with that fullness of right and in those ancient boundaries, terms, and limits in which they were possessed and limited on that land by our people.  In perpetual stability of which thing, lest in the course of time this grant of ours should be invalidated by someone to any extent and withdrawn, we have granted the present letters strengthened by the protection of our double seal.  Dated by the hand of master Ladislaus provost of Vác, faithful chancellor of our court in the 1278th year of the Lord, in the town of Sáros, on the feast of the apostles Simon and Jude.
