Translated letter:
In the name of the Lord. I Bernard Sendred am the seller to you count Ramon and to Elisabeth your wife. By this writing of my sale, I sell to you that castrum of Tamarit with all boundaries adjacent to it, sloping or flat, cultivated or abandoned, and everything that is there that I have or ought to have, which I have in the county of Barcelona, in the boundary of Tarragona. Everything mentioned that came to me by possession/seizure (aprisionem) or by appointment (condireccionem) or by any authority. That village/castle with all the afore-mentioned is delimited thus: in the northwest at the boundary of the castle of Ullastrell (Iuvastrello), in the east at the boundary of Berano, in the south at the river of the sea, in the west at the city of Tarragona. As much as these four boundaries enclose and the limits surround, I sell you all those already mentioned completely together with their exits and returns/entrances at the agreed price of three hundred and eight ounces of Saragossan gold legally weighed, the price that you, the buyers gave me, and it is made known. Indeed, all the aforesaid, which I sell you, I hand over by my right into your rule and power with everything that pertains to that castrum. Which, if I or any person of either sex should oppose this sale to break it, let him or me pay you all the aforesaid double with all appreciation; and afterwards let this sale remain stable now and for all time. This sale was made on the kalends of March in the 18th year of the reign of king Henry. Si+gn of Bernard Sendred. I who made this sale and asked witnesses to confirm it. Si+gn of Gondeball of Besora. Si+gn of Mir Gifre. Si+gn of Bernard Gilmir. Si+gn of Bernard Amati. Si+gn of Arluin, priest, who wrote this on the day and year noted above.
