Judith was a daughter of Emperor Henry III and Agnes of Poitiers. She became queen of Hungary as the wife of Solomon, who reigned from 1063 to 1074. It was an unhappy marriage and when he lost the throne in 1074, she fled to Germany. She later married Duke Wladyslaw I Herman of Poland. They had four daughters. Judith was reputed to be much involved in political intrigue.
