Matilda Billung of Saxony was a daughter of Duke Hermann Billung. She was married first to Baldwin III, count of Flanders, with whom she had a son count Arnulf II; after his death she married Godfrey, count of Verdun, with whom she had several sons, Gozelon and Frederick, counts of Verdun, Adalbero, bishop of Verdun, and Herman.
